The CKCA is managed from Ottawa, with a full time Executive Director. In addition, the volunteer Board of Directors supports the core work of the Association and works collaboratively with the Executive Director to move the strategic priorities of CKCA forward. Board terms are 3 years in length. We are always keen to hear from individuals who have a strong desire to help move our industry forward. Our board meets monthly via teleconference as well as in person 1-2 times per year.
Caroline Castrucci, Laurysen Kitchens
Caroline Castrucci is the V.P. of Administration, Past President of the Greater Ottawa Homebuilders Association, and Past President of the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association. She is the recipient of many GOHBA Design Awards and brings a lifetime of experience as a family member and co-owner of Laurysen Kitchens Ltd. Laurysen Kitchens manufactures kitchens, vanities and closet storage systems. Their sales consist of Retail, Renovation, New Home Construction and Dealers. Caroline commenced her term in 2016 and will continue until 2018.
Heidi Boudreault – Denca
Born and raised in Calgary, Heidi learned the ins and outs of the custom cabinetry industry at a young age, her passion in business management makes Heidi a perfect fit as General Manager and co-owner at Denca for the past 15 years. Her education includes Finance, Business Management and Marketing. Denca manufactures custom kitchens, vanities, entertainment units and cabinetry for any room in the home/office. Also a supplier for many appliances and plumbing fixtures. Denca is an active member of the Calgary community, proud to have donated kitchens to non-for profit organizations in Calgary and supporting many local charities and events.
Jim Lawrence, Avondale Kitchens
Jim has been in the kitchen business since 1976, starting in the days when kitchens were built in the home with a table saw and router. Jim enjoys the creative and design side of the business, and his strengths are sales and marketing. He has, over the years, formatted the business to allow him to do what he most likes to do. Having been in this business for years the best part now is that working directly with home owners, Jim gets to meet 200 new friends a year. Of course the CKCA is an extenuation of that process. Jim was President of CKCA for 2014 and 2016 and now moves into the Past-president role.
James Dewinetz, CPA, CMA – Pacific Rim Cabinets
James has been around the cabinet industry his whole life, working in factories as a summer job. His father started Pacific Rim Cabinets in 1997 to manufacture custom cabinets solely for export to Japan. Over the years, while Japan remains an integral part of the company’s history and sales, Pacific Rim Cabinets now deals primarily with the custom home builders, designers and architects around Vancouver and the lower mainland of BC manufacturing custom kitchens, bathroom vanities, entertainment units, closets, fireplace surrounds, offices, among others.
James began working at Pacific Rim Cabinets in 2010 as the company’s accountant, he completed his CMA designation in 2012 and became the company’s Vice-President in 2013.
James works with the CKCA President and the Executive Director to manage and monitor the CKCA Finances on a regular basis.

Ken Anton – Adora Kitchens Ltd.
Ken started working at Adora Kitchens 31 years ago. Due to Ken’s passion and dedication to quality and service he was offered shares in the company and became a partial owner in 1998. He has been the general manager for the last 5 years and continues to influence the success of the company.
Adora Kitchens has been a member of the CKCA since 2001. Ken has been a board member since 2011. Adora has regularly attended conferences and seminars which creates business relationships and knowledge through networking and shop tours across Canada arranged by the CKCA.
jan leurdijk – cancraft cabinets
Jan has joined the CKCA Board effective 2016. He has been involved in the kitchen industry for a large part of his carer. Currently in the process of setting up his new facility, Jan brings a wealth of knowledge on manufacturing and the industry to the CKCA board.
Jason Warkentin – Superior Cabinets
Jason Warkentin is Superior Cabinets Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain. He joined the Superior family in 2007 and currently provides direction and support to manufacturing operations, supply chain, catalogue and custom department. He is ultimately responsible for the balance of overall efficiencies while supporting innovative solutions to meet clients’ needs. He has a diverse manufacturing background with more than 20 years of experience working in multiple industries. Jason is passionate about Continuous Improvement (CI) and the positive impact CI can have on culture across the organization, supply partners and customers.
Rick Hurst – Richelieu Hardware Ltd.
Rick grew up in the hardware business. As a teenager he worked with his father at AMES Sales, the first importer of European Cabinet Hardware into Canada then known as Martin Hardware until Richelieu acquired it in 1989. Richelieu is a leading North American importer and distributor of hardware and complementary products. Richelieu has nearly 1500 people and half of those are dedicated to sales and marketing. Significantly 70 percent are shareholders. With 90,000 products from around the world, in a wide variety of categories Richelieu stands ready to service the woodworking industry.

Wes Love has been appointed President of Taurus Craco Machinery Inc. Wes Love, a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, is the acting President of the Canadian Woodworking Machinery Dealers Association (CWMDA) and a board member of the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association (CKCA). Established in 1994, Taurus Craco is made up of an experienced team of industrial professionals, committed to distributing high quality products and services. Taurus Craco is proud to serve the Canadian Woodworking, Stone, Composite, and Specialty Metals sectors
Peter Mate – President and Co-Owner Planit Canada Inc.
In the woodworking industry since 1999. A strong understanding of CNC equipment, its tooling, processes, but most importantly the software that drives it. Focused on providing strong leadership to cultivate a top level team to market and service the Canadian woodworking industry with best in class software tools. A true technology buff that has contributed over 25 columns in the Woodworking Canada magazine on the topic.
Kevin Tratt – Blum Canada
Kevin is the President and Managing Director of Blum Canada. Having worked for 26 years in sales he has travelled from coast to coast and has visited many cabinet manufacturers. He also has had the opportunity to visit and see the finished products of many European and American cabinet companies.. Passionate about the industry, he has been involved with the CKCA for many years and actively participates in all the events his schedule allows.

Michael has been with the Decor Cabinet Company since 1994 and his primary focus has been in working with the dealer network. Michael believes in seeing the best in others and helping them succeed. He uses his analytical and logical problem solving skills along with his knowledge of the industry as part of Decor’s Sales & Marketing team. He currently provides leadership to the Customer Service Team and is responsible for Decor’s various dealer connection points and software interfaces.
