Membership and Product Directory

The Association compiles and maintains a member product and services directory. The information is kept up to date and provides users with a brief synopsis of who the members are and what their business focus is. The objective is simple, to promote the products and services of all members to consumers, architects and specifiers in both Canada and export markets.

The Directory also allows staff to respond promptly and with specific detail to the numerous requests for sources of supply received at the CKCA office. Produced in-house, this gives staff the flexibility and control of keeping up-to-date information on your company.

In addition, this directory is distributed to Canadian diplomatic posts in key markets and to builder and renovator trade associations. It is also distributed at the various trade shows the CKCA participates on behalf of its members.

Once you join the CKCA you are invited to fill out the Listing Form so that your company can be included, and featured on our website, at no additional cost.

Facts Sheets about Wood and Green Buildings

These fact sheets address how wood is treated under residential and commercial green building standards, the importance of life cycle assessment (and the life cycle benefits of wood), and the positive impacts of wood use on climate change. These were developed by the Wood Promotions Network (WPN) - whose current program is aimed at "supporting wood as it relates to green building - and specifically to support the Green Building Initiative (GBI) which promotes alternatives to the anti-wood LEED standards for residential and commercial buildings. Part of this includes producing communication materials to ensure awareness of the GBI and LEED and how they address wood and forest product certification - most notably for wood customers, but also other stakeholders and allied groups".
